Ultraview shook up the slider-sight market with its original Ultraview Slider Sight, but the company’s second-generation model tightens every bolt, literally and figuratively. After a five-day axis deer hunt in Hawaii, Trail came away convinced: the Ultraview Slider 2 pushes the envelope as one of the cleanest, lightest yet durable hunting slider sights to hit the shelves. This walkthrough highlights what changed, why it matters, and where the UV Slider 2 fits into the Western hunter’s kit.
The first improvement is obvious when you mount it. Ultraview eliminated the forward-swept bend from the original dovetail, replacing it with a straight bar dovetail that hugs the riser. The new design matches perfectly with Mathews’ Bridge-Lock system and still supports picatinny or standard side-mount options. With fewer exposed knobs and bolts, the UV Slider 2 drops to just 9.2 ounces in Bridge-Lock configuration, making it lighter than most single-pin setups and several ounces lighter than traditional multi-pin sliders.
The UV Slider 2 retains Ultraview’s signature tension lever. Lift with your index finger, free the wheel, lock it in the same motion. The dial moves smooth, fast and is rock solid at the zero-stop. Trail ran it in heat, humidity, and miles of brush without a single issue.
New for Gen 2, Ultraview now includes dual sight tape windows, inside and outside the housing. That subtle tweak lets you run a light 3D arrow on one tape and a heavy hunting shaft on the other effortlessly and without confusion.
One set screw unlocks the entire LED-ready cartridge. Letting you swap from a single-pin vertical for league night, a 3-pin horizontal maybe for spring bear, and a 5-pin vertical for elk season. Each cartridge maintains independent leveling from the sight bar. That means once your first setup is dialed, all axes remain square, regardless of pin orientation.

Windage uses a glove-friendly click dial. First, second, and third axes are fully integrated. Three movable yardage indicators track individual pins as you roll the wheel. A rechargeable pin light (sold separately) threads directly into the housing and is legal in many Western states for low-light clarity.
The housing detaches from the bar in under a minute, fits cleanly into the included soft shell travel case, and remounts square without re-zeroing.
The Ultraview Slider 2 refines everything the original got right and tightens the rest. It’s lighter, smarter, and tougher, with the modular flexibility to match your season and the travel-friendliness to go wherever your hunts take you. For serious archery hunters who demand precision without compromise, this is one of the most advanced slider sights available today.
