The four-part system

The setup is straightforward. You’ve got a rugged everyday Kapture Gear Phone Case, a Kapture Gear Knekt Universal Adapter, a magnetized Kapture Gear Knekt Mag Ring, and a Kapture Gear Knekt Ring Mount that installs directly onto your spotting scope or binocular eyecup. The mount can either use 3M adhesive or you can swap in an integrated eye cup, depending on what optic you're using. The mag ring has 12 high-strength magnets, and a little micro-adjust lever lets you get a perfect line-up/orientation for how you want your phone to sit on the spotting scope. I mark my setup with a silver Sharpie marker so I can throw it together in seconds without messing around (which is really only handy if you take the mag ring off of the univeral adapter, so the Sharpie marker is mainly for if I take it apart).

Field-friendly functionality

One of the things that is really exciting is how easy it is to switch between lenses using this digiscoping system. Whether you're using your phone’s regular lens or the zoom lens, the Kapture Gear digiscoping system adapts to both lenses. This alone is a huge benefit!
