We are excited to announce that youth hunting opportunities are now live on INSIDER! There's nothing better than taking a youth out big game hunting, and now you can find all the hunt options for a youth hunter and start to build our their application strategy to get them out in the field.
As always, showcasing more hunting opportunities throughout the West is what we are all about! You'll instantly see all the new youth hunting research tools on Filtering, Unit Profiles and our standalone Draw Odds page.
Note: Idaho and California youth information will be added soon. We are waiting for the final regulations to be approved so we can add the seasons with 2019 dates.
You'll be able to access youth information on Filtering 2.0 just like you would when finding other adult hunting opportunities. The steps are simple. Just select a state, then species and from there, select youth specific draw odds under "Residency." And if you want to see all the youth-specific seasons, you can filter those by selecting a youth season under "Select Season(s)." From there, you can always use any of the filters to narrow down your options even further.
In a state like New Mexico, if there is a youth-specific season, it will show up on the results section under the unit like in the screenshot above. An example path in New Mexico to showcase youth rifle opportunities: New Mexico > Elk > Draw Odds > Resident, Youth > Select Season(s) > Rifle (Youth Only).
Now on the results section, you'll see six units with youth only draw odds, the number of youth applications, and youth harvest success.
Also, if there is a youth season available, you'll be able to see that data on an individual Unit Profile.

Our standalone draw odds pages have also been updated with youth specific draw odds!
This new enhancement to INSIDER is a great way to get youth involved in all of the great hunting opportunities across the West. Stay tuned for more enhancements we are coming out with in 2019. We are not stopping here!
