Unit 30B lies in southeast Arizona and is over 40% private land. Private land will restrict access across much of the unit and require hunters to arrange access prior to their hunt. Mule deer live across the unit in the lower elevations. Coues deer are found in low numbers on two different mountains. Illegal immigration encounters can be an issue.
Private land make access a challenge and can frustrate mule deer hunters. Illegal immigration from Mexico can make camping risky. This unit has lower Coues deer numbers compared to other adjacent units and mule deer and Coues deer can be found in the same areas.
