This zone is located northwest of Sacramento along the west side of Interstate 5. With the majority of the elk found on private land, you may want to check on access availability/cost before spending that tag money and points.

Elk within the hunt area are almost entirely on private property. These lands are open to elk hunting only with the written permission of the landowner.
