In eastern Colorado near the agricultural communities of Wray and Yuma whitetails, mule deer and antelope are found near irrigated and dry land crops. The majority of land is under private ownership or leased from the state.
According to Colorado Parks and Wildlife, Hunters are encouraged to visit the area and to contact landowners well in advance of the hunt to be successful. Do not wait until the day of the hunt to make first contact with a landowner. Expect low numbers of antelope bucks.
