Quick Tips
Get a landowner's permission to hunt before you apply for a tag
This is high desert, so keep hydrated
Glass with the sun at your back to see deer more easily
County roads get slick and muddy during wet weather
This unit is 89% private with good access from county roads. Hunters must have a landowner’s permission to hunt.
Mule deer and antelope are distributed throughout the unit in fair numbers. This is not known as a unit for hunters looking for mule deer big enough to qualify for the Boone and Crockett Club records. Whitetails numbers are low. Mule deer and whitetails may be found along Rush Creek and in the Karval State Wildlife Area with pronghorns in the north.
