This unit is 89% private with good access from county roads. Hunters must have a landowner’s permission to hunt.
Mule deer and antelope are distributed throughout the unit in fair numbers. This is not known as a unit for hunters looking for mule deer big enough to qualify for the Boone and Crockett Club records. Whitetails numbers are low. Mule deer and whitetails may be found along Rush Creek and in the Karval State Wildlife Area with pronghorns in the north.
