This area is made up of low, rolling mountains north and northeast of Pierce and includes private land, state land and land managed by the Clearwater National Forest. Moose are scattered throughout this unit.
The best moose hunting in this area is on private and state land west of the Clearwater National Forest boundary. Bulls usually average 30-38” spreads. Many roads and a few ATV trails provide access to forest land, most of which is heavily timbered.
