This unit is located in southwest Montana, and encompasses the entire Tobacco Root Mountain range and has highway access on all four sides. Moose numbers and quality have improved here.
This unit has a very good moose population and has good quality bulls and is capable of producing bulls to the mid 40” class. Moose numbers are stable and may be increasing with good recruitment. Harvest in the past has been near 100% success.
