Mainly private property, hunters in this unit must be committed to gaining access on private lands or be confined to hunting a small portion of the unit. The Chalk Creek unit holds more moose than any other unit in Utah.

This area is estimated to hold a good moose population and is viewed by many as one of the top moose units in the state. Bulls with antlers reaching over 40” wide have been taken here in the past.
