Hunters discussing Area 95 in Cedar Mountain, Wyoming generally agree on the challenging terrain, noting its steepness and dense vegetation, which can make navigation and spotting game difficult. It's noted that elk and deer populations are present but require patience and strategic movement, often benefiting those who hike to less accessible areas where animal pressure is lower. The seasonality of the area dictates game behavior, with animals trending towards higher elevations as the season progresses and cooler temperatures in late season. For successful hunts, it's advisable to be prepared for rugged conditions and bring appropriate gear for both tracking and weather changes.
