At a Glance
Located in Northeastern Wyoming south of the Montana State Border and East of Crook County Roads 116, 263, 68 and 85. This area is also west of Highway 112 and north of Highway 14. Unit 1 is known for good harvest success rates. The terrain allows for hunters to glass a lot of area from high vantage points.For nonresidents, this area is part of Region A and tags drawn for this area are also valid in: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
This area has been talked about for the large numbers of both mule deer and whitetail deer. Be prepared to look over a lot of terrain to find the animal you are looking for.
Quick Tips
- A GPS with a land status map is recommended
- Snow chains, shovel and four-wheel drive is preferred during rifle season
- Be prepared to shoot at distances longer than 200 yards
