This hunt area is in the Pinedale region and is a general deer in Region H that has mule deer and whitetail deer. This area has high country and lower elevation opportunities for hunters depending on the season. The Bridger Wilderness can be found at higher elevations on the north and east side of the area. For nonresidents, this area is part of Region H and tags drawn for this area are valid in: 130, 138, 139, 140, 142, 149, 150, 151, 152, 153, 154, 155.
This is an average deer area that has some private property issues. Weather is a key factor later in the year, since it can push deer from higher elevations to winter range habitat. Nonresidents need be with an outfitter or resident to hunt most of the higher elevations, which can be found in the Bridger Wilderness area. Low to average numbers of deer. Not a lot of whitetail here.
