Hunt area 60 is located in Southeast Wyoming, just north of Interstate 80. This spot is known for good success rates of harvest with a lot of quality bucks taken every year. The terrain allows for hunters to glass a lot of area from many vantage points.

This area has been talked about for the large numbers of both mule deer and whitetail deer that can be found in most of the unit.

Consisting mainly of long deep canyons, sage brush flats and conifer forests. A majority of the unit is private land with a section of Medicine Bow National Forest. Twin Mountain, Green Mountain and Table Mountain provide some of the highest peaks in the unit.

Private land with a section of National Forest can be found in this area. Most roads are marked with county and National Forest signs.

The majority of the area is dominated by sage brush, and prairie grass. In the southwestern portion of the unit, the mountains are dominated by conifer forests, willow and aspen-lined creeks and streams.

Some hunters will camp remotely on the National Forest land on the unit with no permit required. Lodging at multiple motels can be located west of the unit in Laramie and east of the unit in Cheyenne.
