At a Glance
There are only a few opportunities to hunt free roaming fair chase Bison and Wyoming has one of these hunts. This is the only area open to hunting in the state and it is located south of Yellowstone National Park and east of Grand Teton National Park.
Trophy potential for bulls is excellent and the season is open for months. Most hunters wait until later in the season when bison move out of the national parks. Do not trail a wounded bison onto National Park lands, contact Park immediately

- Separate drawing to hunt National Elk Refuge for successful applicants
- Bison are large animals, plan to have lots of help in processing and retrieving the animal
