At a Glance
Comprised of some National Forest in the Bighorn Mountains, high plains desert and ranchlands located in the north-central part of the state, this unit contains expansive amounts of public lands. Called Horse Creek, it is bordered by the U.S. Highway 14-A and the hunt Mountain Road on the north, U.S. Highway 14 on the east and south and the Bighorn River on the west.
A unit of rugged terrain with elk located mainly on National Forest. The bigger elk typically come from the more rugged and remote locations in the canyons below U.S. Highway 14-A and the Hunt Mountain Road.
