Hunters interested in Wyoming's Area 25 have found it rewarding, especially for moose hunting, if willing to scout extensively on public lands. One hunter shared their experience of transitioning from a fulfilling archery season, where numerous moose encounters were had, to successfully tagging out on the opening day of rifle season, thanks to prior scouting efforts. It's important to note that larger bull moose are often on private lands, requiring significant effort to gain access, but public lands hold plenty of opportunities for those willing to work for them. However, hunters suggest avoiding this unit for deer, as populations have not yet recovered from the 2017 winter die-off.
