Located northeast of the town of Lovell, this area is bordered by the Big Horn River on the west, the Montana State line on the north, the Sheep Mountain Road on the east and U.S. Highway 14-A on the south. It contains a lot of public land and parts of the Big Horn National Forest.
Most sheep are found off of National Forest ground on a mix of BLM and the private Moss Ranch along Devil Canyon. Recent transplants from Montana and Oregon have improved genetic diversity as well as ram size.
