This hunt area is comprised of sparsely timbered foothills and low mountains located in the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forests and the Laramie Peak Wildlife Habitat Management Area in the southeast corner of the state. The unit is comprised of a mix of National Forest, BLM and private land.
One of the best areas in the state. Sheep are concentrated in this unit in an area west of Wheatland. Transplants from Montana's famed Missouri River Breaks have added some incredible genetics here. Genetically, the herd is diverse, healthy and growing.
