Zone 3 is located in portions of Lassen and Modoc counties in the northeast part of California.
The feral horse population has exploded in this zone and it's sometimes difficult to get away from them. They also have a negative effect on the meadows & watering holes in this zone. The roads in the timber are decent, but the roads across the rocky juniper flats will eat a stock truck. An ATV/UTV is a must in those areas.
Quick Tips
