The discussion on Unit 109, Colorado, highlights some confusion regarding the availability of a "Whitetail only" license, with some users confirming its existence through the CPW Big Game digest and others providing conflicting information. Although licensing specifics can be murky, it appears that hunters can pursue either species with the right code for buck or doe. Newcomers to the unit are eager to learn from experienced locals, particularly about effective strategies for hunting either species, especially during late season or archery hunts. Additionally, those looking to maximize hunting success are comparing the productivity of State Wildlife Areas (SWAs) against Walk-in Access lands, seeking advice from other hunters on the best locations to focus their efforts.
