South of Flagler this area is unique to the eastern plains because of the small amount of square miles, roughly 361, which is 95% private. Small herds of antelope, mule deer and whitetails are near crops and along creek bottoms from Interstate 70 south of US 40.

Trophy quality mule deer, whitetails and antelope are fewer here than in neighboring units.
