Almost completely private, this unit on the north side of the Arkansas River borders Kansas and is known for its world-class whitetail and mule deer and also is home to some big pronghorn antelope.
The bottom land and farmland along the Arkansas River produces large whitetail bucks and equally extraordinary mule deer live near Big Sandy Creek and on irrigated farmland. Elk are not typically found in this unit. Pronghorn antelope live in the western half of the unit. There is also fair hunting for pheasants in and near farmland.
