Heading south or southwest out of Kim the Comanche National Grassland provides the best access to mule deer and antelope. Most whitetails like the cottonwood lined creek bottoms. Small numbers of elk are also found on this unit.

There is a substantial fee to hunt deer on private land and the majority of private land is leased to outfitters.
