This hunt district is located in south central Montana. It is north east of Billings and south of Ryegate. The district is basically all private land and access can be difficult, but by doing some legwork access can be obtained.

Antelope are located throughout this entire district. Antelope numbers are down, but stable. There is a good buck to doe ratio. The general tag is for either sex antelope.

The terrain in this hunt district is relatively easy with no major elevation changes. It is a mix of flat open rangeland and broken sand stone ridges. It has some vast open areas where you can glass for miles. It is classic antelope county.

Most of the district is grassland mixed with a few scattered patches of pine, cedar and juniper, which are typically associated with the breaks. There are rangeland areas with sagebrush and other forbs spread throughout the grasslands. There is a lot of dry land farming in this district, along with areas of irrigated crop fields.

This district is easily accessed by good gravel county roads that run throughout the area. Antelope typically are found on private land and access can be difficult to get. There are scattered state sections, some BLM and a few ranches that are in the Block Management program that will allow public hunting.

Billings and Laurel are large cities. Columbus has several motels, restaurants and gas stations.
