Extending west from the northwest corner of Flathead Lake, this area is very scenic and just a few hours from Glacier National Park. This district consists of timbered mountains with scattered logged areas.
Elk populations are low, but elk are still harvested in this district each season. Mule deer are the minority species harvested and account for less than 5% of the deer taken. Whitetails have been on an increase and appear to be the best opportunity for hunters.
