Quick Tips
- Focus efforts on gaining permission to hunt private lands
- Odds of success of mule deer and elk will be very low

This hunting district is found in northwest montana between the cities of Whitefish and Kalispell. This area is largely comprised of private lands and because of this, access is difficult. Great numbers of whitetails are taken here every year though mule deer and elk harvests are low. If permission can be gained to hunt private lands hunters will be in for great action, particularly during the rut.
This district continues to see great whitetail harvests while most hunters looking to pursue mule deer or elk will move into adjoining units.
