This smaller district, found just northeast of Great Falls, is river breaks country and for the most part nearly all private. This area has very few elk, though solid mule deer and whitetail can be found with private land access. It's proximity to other quality elk districts lends the possibility of catching some migrating elk very late, but for the most part you won't be in them in this district.
This district produces some of Montana's better general season mule deer, but mainly due to the fact that the majority of the district is privately held and the state ground available isn't always accessible. If you have access and are looking for muleys in the Missouri Breaks this might be worth a look.
