Hunt District 105 is part of the Kootenai National Forest and is found in the northwest part of the state. This area has a healthy distribution of roads, both open and gated, and hunters will find plenty of access options. Moose densities are low here, as with the rest of this area, but some great bulls can still be found. With the exception of some alpine basins, most of this area is heavily forested with dense ground cover. Glassing oipportunites are rare with the exception of a few natural openings and timber cuts.
Smaller densities of moose will be found here but many bulls still reach good sizes. Vegetation and ground cover will the primary limiting factor when it comes to locating bulls, but hunters will have options.
