Seymour-Deep Creek unit lies within Deer Lodge County southwest of the community of Anaconda. Thousands of acres of public lands are available on Mount Haggin Wildlife Management Area, Anaconda Pintler Wilderness Area, and Beaverhead Deerlodge National Forest. The Continental Divide runs along the northern and western boundary reaching elevations over 10,000 feet. Residents may apply for an antlered bull limited license.
Plenty of access to wilderness and National Forest offers a tag holder an opportunity to spot and stalk a mature bull that may be an exceptional trophy exceeding the Boone and Crockett or Pope and Young minimums. If enough time is invested a tag holder may expect seeing a number of bulls between 120” to the high 130” B&C.
