This hunt district lies east of Montana Route 83 above Seeley Lake and is almost entirely within the Flathead National Forest and the Bob Marshall Wilderness, providing hundreds of square miles of backcountry hunting opportunities.
Billies range from 8-9", with a 10" mountain goat being an exception. Mature nannies have horns from 7-8.5" and are quite thinner than the billies. Longest and heaviest coats are harvested late in the season, but you may not be able to reach a trophy in the mountains due to snow blocking trails.
