This unit is found in the south central portion of the state and is bisected by the famous Platte River. Good deer populations are found here and hunters can find some exceptional hunting opportunities, and bucks, within this unit. Public lands are limited, but several non-traditional access options do exist in the form of Open Fields And Waters Program lands and wildlife management areas.
Accessing private lands will be the primary challenge for hunters in this area. While securing private access is optimal, thorough research can lead hunters to excellent public hunting opportunities as well.
