This small unit is found in the central portion of the state and lies just south and west of the town of North Platte. A small but very healthy of elk are found in a few specific locations. Public lands are very limited and generally not available in areas where elk are present but there are a few small options. Because this is a once-in-a-lifetime harvest for residents, many lucky tag holders opt to hire outfitters to ensure private access.
