As with most of the surrounding units, Unit 2G2 is made up primarily of cultivated cropland. This provides an ample food supply for the whitetail population. The public-land offerings in this unit are few and far between, but they do exist.

Tewaukon National Wildlife Refuge is large enough to spend several days hunting and never go to the same area twice. For public land DYI, this is a good area to focus your efforts.
