Located on the north and south side of Interstate 90 this unit's eastern boundary is the Missouri River. There are also approximately 6 miles of White River that spills into the Missouri River in the unit. At first glance there is relatively no public land to access when hunting this unit, but being that South Dakota Game and Fish owns all of the ground up and down the banks of the rivers there is more to hunt that first meets the eye. Overall this is a whitetail destination, and seeing a mule deer in this part of the state would be rare.

With very limited public access there are few hunters headed to this unit without a plan around hunting some private property.
