- Bring your shotgun for pheasants, Sharptail Grouse, and possibly a Greater Prairie Chicken

Located approximately 30 miles northeast of Rapid City this remote unit lies along the north shore of the Belle Fourche River as well as the Cheyenne River on the far east side. If you are looking for a classic prairie unit comprised of countless creek bottoms and miles of raw prairie you will find just that in this large unit. There is very little public access here so prior arrangements to hunt private land need to be made or you will have very little ground to hunt. There are great populations of both whitetail and mule deer throughout the unit. Other than the town of Faith, there are many small townships throughout the unit in which amenities are quite sparse. Hunters need to come prepared for a remote-style hunt and should have what they need before they arrive.
With very limited public access there are few hunters headed to this Unit without a plan around hunting some private property. There are some reports of some great bucks of both species in this unit.
