Located in the north western portion of the state and the northern border being the state line with North Dakota. This unit is rather remote with very little services across the bulk of the unit except for a few small townships along the interstate to the north, with the biggest being Lemmon, South Dakota. This unit consists of primarily private land with the exception of some walk in access and grasslands scattered across the unit. If you are planning a hunt in this unit it would be in your best interest to arrive with prior arrangements made on some portion of private land. There are two major rivers running through this unit the North Fork Grand River and the South Fork Grand River which offer some fantastic habitat, as well as miles of rolling hills covered in CRP and grasslands.
