Unit BH4 is the largest sheep unit in the state that encompasses a majority of the Black Hills between Custer State park and the Wyoming state line. Good numbers of bighorn sheep are found in this heavily timbered unit and anyone lucky enough to hold a tag will be in for a great hunt. Being part of the Black Hills this unit has a great distribution of public lands and hunters will find little trouble in locating huntable ground.
Sheep populations in this unit are good and those willing to hunt hard, should be able to turn up some great rams. Some areas are more rugged and remote than others. Cover ground and utilize the glass.
