This small unit is located on the west side of the state within the proper Southwest, Desert unit. A small population of elk will be found here but hunters will have very generous season dates to fill their tag. This area is almost entirely public and hunters will have plenty of options when it comes to selecting hunting spots. Most of the elk in this area will be found near agricultural crops in the evenings and then will often times move into public lands to bed for the day. Small numbers of elk can be found here but good season dates and loads of public land will help.
