The small subunit is located within the main La Sal Mtns unit and lies just outside of the town of Moab. This unit was created in response to growing CWD concerns in the area and the hope is that these late hunts will give hunters the best opportunity to harvest older age-class bucks, the suspected spreaders of the CWD.
