This unit is located in the northwest corner of the state and includes the Raft River Mountains. Elk live on a mixture of private and public land. Elk are highly migratory in this area and spend their time bouncing across the Idaho and Utah state lines.
Locating elk herds can be diffuclt at times due to outside hunting pressure, private land distribution, and the fact that the elk will commonly cross into Idaho.
