This unit is found in north east Utah and lies on the Wyoming border. Hunters will find a large amount of huntable public land here with good elk numbers. A portion of the High Uinta Wilderness is found here and makes for some excellent backpack hunting opportunities. With the early dates of this hunt most of the areas elk will be in some of the high elevation areas which can be tough for some hunters to physically access.

Good elk numbers can be found here but hunters will likely need to pack in a few miles to locate huntable herds.
