Located southeast of Cedar City and northwest of Kanab, this amazing unit offers many different elevations and terrains to hunt. Geographically, this is a large unit with a good portion of private land. Some great genetics can be found here although most of the larger bulls will be taken on private land. US 89 makes the boundary for the east side, Arizona on the south, I-15 traveling the west, and SR 14 making the north border. With it being a decent-sized unit it offers the ability to hunt the low desert country ranging to the higher elevations with aspens and pines.
Good elk genetics can be found here but securing private access will be fairly crucial for good odds of success. There aren’t abundant numbers of elk, but some are present on the north end of the unit, becoming more abundant in the private property along the park boundary, and private sections around Kolob Reservoir.
