Located on the eastern border of Wyoming, this area contains portions of the Black Hills National Forest as well as other public lands. The hunt area is bordered by South Dakota on the east, Weston County Road #2 on the south and U.S. highway 85 on the west.
One of the best units in the state. Sheep are concentrated in this area on Elk Mountain and nearby canyons. Almost all sheep are located in a core 2-3 mile radius. These sheep were introduced from South Dakota in 2001 and supplemented with a transplant from New Mexico in 2005.
