This unit contains a large amount of remote terrain, both wilderness and not, and hunters will have a plethora of options when it comes to locations to hunt. Wolves populations are generally lower here but hunters who are pursuing deer and elk do report running into them on occasion. In general, this can be a great area to carry a wolf tag in your pocket while chasing other big game but hunters looking to specifically pursue wolves may want to look into other units.
A low density of wolves are found within this unit and hunters looking to specifically target the species will find better options in adjacent units. Nonresident hunters will want to pay close attention to wilderness boundaries.
