Quick Tips
- Hunt slow as deer prefer the thickest cover
- When you find fresh sign stop and wait

Cypress is a small island between Bellingham Channel and Rosario Strait in the Salish Sea. Although the island is basically all state ground the lack of development has left very few clearings for hunters to spot deer. There is some hunting opportunity within this small GMU and excellent table fare for the lucky hunters filling their tags. Be patient and hunt slow when you find fresh sign.
While this area is almost entirely public hunters will find very little opportunity due to the extreme nature of the vegetation cover.
