The Yakima River flows by the town of Ellensburg which lays in the center of this largely privately-owned farming unit. Farms are small and hunters will definitely have to pay attention to not only property lines but roads, buildings, and agricultural activities making this a hard unit to hunt if you don’t live close or have friends or family with ground. There is just a touch of public land, however, it is so little that it’s hardly worth mentioning. When the snow pushes elk and mule down, they do like to work the farm crops creating a bit of human wildlife conflict. This unit holds very little resident game.
There is lots of human activity in this unit limiting hunting access, shot angles, and game retrieval.
