North of Mount Rainier National Park, this GMU is divided between Snoqualmie National Forest, Muckleshoot Indian Tribe, timber companies, and a touch of residential along Rd 165 and the small town of Buckley. The national forest land is steep, rugged old growth forest that had a significant forest fire along the southeast border.
Downed logs and dead standing timber from a past fire continues to pose a safety hazard to hunters, so take caution.
